  1. I have known this wonderful lady in good times and rough times. There is nobody like her, god has bless us with her friendship.

  2. Debbie, I came across this website on Facebook. I am also a believer in Jesus Christ but this is not about me. My step daughter ,Amber, lost her husband a week ago today. Only 34 years old and had a heart attack. Amber is only 32 and has 2 little girls. 2 months old and 6 years. The 6 year old saw her dad die. We live 700 miles away and I have no idea what advice to give her. I can’t even imagine what she is going through. I am praying for her safety, protection and guidance but I feel like I’m not doing enough. Your booklet may help but do you think it’s too soon to send her one.
Thank you sister in Christ,,, Sharon

    1. Sharon – For some reason I didn’t receive a notification of your comment. I’m so very sorry for this loss that Amber has experienced at such a young age. At this point the booklet may or may not be helpful. As far as help for the young children, the social security office is her first help and I’m sure she has already been there. In addition, there are programs to help in this situation both through churches as well as hospital groups – whether it’s SSM, or BJC or Mercy or whatever is available where she is. Another idea is to call the local Christian radio station if there is one to ask if they have any groups listed. My station has this and I know others across the country do as well. Above all she needs to get into a grief group through her church or a local church. It’s very helpful. My booklet is a resource that has contacts listed – phone numbers, web sites etc. If he was a veteran, there is a military section with contacts for DoD, VA and military health insurance. I cannot imagine all she is going through right now. Keep praying for her and if you and your husband can be there with her for a short time to just listen and love on her and the kids – that is so very valuable. Again I am so sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I’m going to go check the settings to see if something hasn’t been checked properly. Sending you a hug……………Peace & Blessings……………….Debbie
