Welcome

Welcome to Beyond Ashes!

My name is Deborah Mead. My husband died April 2014 from pancreatic cancer. It is now my calling and passion to help others with the Spouse Survivor Guide who find themselves on this grief journey.

Losing a spouse is devastating. I hope you will share your experience with me on the Blog page. Be sure to check out my story on the Meet Debbie page.

Swing designed & built by my husband, Tracy.

Though not a counselor, pastor or grief professional, I am a widow continuing to walk my own path and sincerely want to offer a listening ear as well as the Spouse Survivor Guide  –  a tool to help the bereaved spouse regain their independence.

Spouse Survivor Guide

  • Do you know someone diagnosed with a terminal disease?
  • Do you know someone in hospice care?
  • Do you have aging parents?
  • Do you need military contacts?

The Spouse Survivor Guide page provides categories covered in the booklet. If you said yes to any of the above questions, this booklet can help with decisions made before passing and  contacts after.  Take time to consider how you can be a significant piece to someone’s puzzle of preparation and recovery. The Spouse Survivor Guide is a great tool for funeral directors, hospice and clergy.

Peace & Blessings. . . . . . . . Debbie
